spectacular scenery at bukit broga

Who say you cannot feel the real scenery of nature around Selangor or Kuala Lumpur. There are a few places that I will tell you in my blog. I start with Bukit Broga (Broga Hill)

It is also known as 'Bukit Lalang'. It has its name after the local species of grass named Lalang that grows abundantly here. Bukit Broga is located in Semenyih, at 400 meters high and 40 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur. To make it easy for to find the location, you just find University  of Nottingham, where the entrance starts at left from an oil palm estate opposite a rabbit park.

What is so special about Bukit Broga? If the question is thrown to me, I would immediately reply that is its because of it spectacular scenery (especially at dawn and early in the morning).

The hill is so famous among locals and tourists. We can see their numbers during weekend and public holiday. This phenomena is common and the estate owner grab the opportunity by charging them who park their vehicles in his area with RM2 fee.

So if you plan to visit here please bring your camera along. Otherwise you will miss the beautiful scenery that is rarely found in the city of Kuala Lumpur.  From the peak, visitors get a spacious view of the plains, coated by a mixture of rainforest, oil palm plantations, villages and towns, along with distant mountains.

At dawn, mist rising from the ground from the warmth of the sun envelops the landscape in a carpet of white, evoking a surreal atmosphere. You may take between 20 to 45 minutes to reach the highest peak (depending on one's fitness level, or photo stops)  if you are hiking. The hill steep is easy and there are three peaks in total to conquer.

You need to prepare torchlight, drinks (which you can get at the foot hill if you forgot to bring from home), and a snacks in case you are starving up there, hehehehe.
